Platform

A governed architecture for autonomous engineering.

A governed architecture for autonomous engineering.

Overview

REM is an autonomous engineering platform designed for real-world constraints. It is built as a coordinated system of specialized agents operating under shared context, explicit governance, and human-defined intent. The objective is end-to-end execution — not task-level automation.

System model

The platform operates as a multi-agent system with a single coordinating principle. A principal interprets intent and orchestrates execution across agents, while governance mechanisms ensure control, auditability, and alignment with organizational constraints. Each component is designed to operate independently — and coherently.

Design Principles

Autonomy must be observable | Control must be explicit | Reasoning must be traceable Human intent remains authoritative | Production systems demand determinism

Core components

• Principal — Responsible for interpreting intent, sequencing work, and coordinating execution across the system. The principal translates goals into plans, assigns work to agents, enforces constraints, and manages escalation and intervention. It is not a controller. It is a coordinator. [ • ]

• Specialized Agents — Agents specialize across the software lifecycle: product definition, design, engineering, quality validation, security, and operations. Each agent operates autonomously within scope, but never in isolation. [ — ]

• Context Engine — The context engine maintains shared, evolving system understanding. It tracks artifacts, decisions, dependencies, and execution state to ensure consistent reasoning across agents. [ ]
• Governance Layer — Governance is built in, not added later. The platform enforces policy, approval checkpoints, auditability, deterministic behavior where required, and human override mechanisms. [ ]

What this enables

REM enables a new execution model for software creation. By reducing coordination overhead and enabling governed autonomy, the platform shortens the path from intent to production while preserving reliability, quality, and control. This is not achieved by removing humans — but by redefining where human judgment is applied.

Closing statement

We are building infrastructure, not features. Systems, not shortcuts.

The platform is early. The direction is deliberate.
